Scenic and compartmentalized, San Diego is a great city to spend a few days. There's plenty to do... and getting around is very easy compared to L.A. and San Francisco. "Compartmentalized", you ask? San Diego is very well organized... partly by design, and partly because that is just how the city evolved. The airport is actually located downtown, so you don't have far to go upon arrival. The famous San Diego Zoo is located in scenic Balboa Park along with some great museums and other cultural attractions. There's even an easily-accessible "Hotel Circle" located within minutes of downtown and San Diego's main attractions. We visited Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, La Jolla, the San Diego Wild Animal Park (in Escondido, about 30 minutes north of S.D.)... and we took a Hornblower dinner cruise in the harbor. |
