Arizona's nickname, "The Grand Canyon State", proudly honors one of the world's most stunning natural spectacles... But the name also mildly implies that Arizona has little more to experience. Let it be known that America's 48th state has an incredibly diverse array of environments and scenery. Within a few highway hours, visitors will encounter forests filled with stately saguaro cactus, regal Joshua tree, mighty ponderosa pine or charismatic juniper. There's a meteor impact crater similar to one you'd see on the moon... a "forest" filled with trees that have turned to beautifully colored stone... and a desert that has been masterfully "painted" by Mother Nature. Arizona is filled with well-preserved ruins created by those who were here long before us. And London Bridge did not fall down... it was transported and reconstructed in a small Arizona town on the Colorado River.
