ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND |
|
TEST 9/7/07 We only spent 15-20 minutes in downtown Annapolis, but didn't
want to pass it up since it was directly on our route. Unfortunately it was
a drizzly and overcast morning, but despite the lack of sunshine and early
hour (7AM on a Sunday), this town's character shone through. Access to downtown Annapolis is
easy from Rt. 50 and it's worth the small detour if you're just passing through.
The streets are narrow and the buildings are clearly very old. The beautiful State House
is the centerpiece of downtown Annapolis. Annapolis offers many different
tours and attractions that we did not visit. Here is the "official website" of
Annapolis: http://www.ci.annapolis.md.us/ |
