| Going-To-The-Sun Road - The Ultimate Scenic Drive | |
| . |
| When it comes to mountain scenery, there are few places as beautiful as Montana's Glacier National Park, part of the Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park straddling the U.S.-Canada border. Only one road traverses the entire park. Going-To-The-Sun Road affords motorists non-stop breathtaking vistas, with plenty of places to pull over and soak it all in. The road follows the shores of the park's two major lakes (St. Mary Lake and Lake MacDonald). The middle section of Going-To-The-Sun Road is precariously carved into the side of the rugged mountains... winding along thousand-foot tall cliffs. The drive is not for the faint of heart, but the scenery is among America's finest. | |
